600 high school students have benefited from Heinz Delam, which opens the season of meetings Hache Award 2015. Candidate for his work, The Elephant Bird Sanctuary, won the Alandar in 2011 and this year competes for the democratic prize.

The plot of the novel revolves around Natalia, a city girl who accompanies her father to the jungles of the Congo, where he met Eloko, a boy from a local tribe who is tormented by a secret.
A string of misfortunes leave both young men at the mercy of the great forest and under a threat of some animal.
They only way to survive is to solve the mystery of an expedition whose members disappeared amid mysterious circumstances.
Except the mysterious dyes and dramatic scenes, a book inspired by the author's life is. Heinz Delam had adventurous experiences as a child has traveled extensively, until the Belgian Congo, because of their parents' work.
He spent his teenage years surrounded by the mysteries of the African bush.
