The Councillor for Public Safety, Mariano García Asensio, today called on the residents of Galifa stop patrolling on their own to prevent criminal acts that have taken place in recent weeks in this area of the municipality.

According to official statistics the town of Cartagena has a crime rate well below the Spanish media, said the mayor, who has also warned that although no direct competition of the City, any issue of concern to neighbors also holds the interest Municipal Government and therefore is working in coordination with the Government Office.
He also referred to the increase in the strength of the local police, working with the Civil Guard, in rural areas of the municipality, noting that in 2014 Feber 15 agents were incorporated.
