The Ministry of Education, Culture and Universities has organized a Christmas visit to the Museum of Modern Art in Cartagena specially designed for groups with visual or hearing disabilities, and open to participation by all audiences, where participants will learn the work of Salvador Dalí through senses such as touch or hearing.
The Director General of Cultural Heritage, Maria Comas, stressed that "this is an initiative through which you can learn the genius artist in a different way".
"We are accustomed to perceive the world, especially through sight, but art invites us to use other senses and discover reality through other points of view," he added.
The visit, about one hour, focuses on different aspects of life and work of the artist and places special emphasis on one of the lesser known facets of Salvador Dalí, the sculptor.
In this way, and through touch and hearing, participants can make a free interpretation and approach the artistic phenomenon from a different perspective.
The visit, which is free of charge, will take place on Sunday December 28th from 11:30 am and is organized in groups of 15 people maximum.
