The Christmas program of the Ministry of Education, Culture and Universities paths includes guided tours of the temporary exhibition of the Regional Museum of Modern Art, Modern Times visits.
A tour of the Spanish contemporary art ', and the Palacio Aguirre, modernist building from the late nineteenth and early twentieth century that houses the headquarters of the museum institution since 2002.
The Director General of Cultural Heritage, Maria Comas, explained that these activities aim to open the doors of the museums of the Regional Network to all Murcia for this Christmas.
"The Christmas school holidays are an opportunity for smaller and their families come to museums to discover the rich cultural, archaeological and artistic heritage of the region and learn to appreciate it," said Maria Comas.
The first of the free guided exposure Modern Times proposes a review of the Spanish and regional contemporary art from the 20s of XX century to the present day visits.
The exhibition represents an interesting insight into the creative trends in a period marked by the vanguards and a constant desire for renewal and experimentation, and in it you can see works by artists such as Alfonso Albacete, Antonio Tapies, Ramón Gaya, Liliana Porter, Salvador Dalí, Angel Haro, Juan Bonafé, Pedro Cano or Rafael Canogar.
The second proposal is a time travel to Cartagena early twentieth century through the Palacio Aguirre, the building that houses the headquarters of the Regional Museum of Modern Art and is one of the leaders of modernist architecture in the region of Murcia.
These tours will take place on 26 and 28 December and 2 January 4.
The first one, the exhibition will be held at 11:00 and 17:30, while the tour of the Palacio Aguirre is also made in two shifts, at 13:00 and 18:30 hours.
