The Governing Board today gave the green light to the agreement that for the second consecutive year, the council signed with the Autonomous Community and the company that promotes senior European tourism, which will bring about 7000 tourists from April to October
The Governing Board today approved the signing of a cooperation agreement between the public entity Institute of Tourism in the Region of Murcia and the municipalities of Cartagena, Águilas and Mazarrón, for the implementation of the European program of senior tourism.
With this agreement twofold, first off-season tourists come to our shores, while promoting the Costa Calida in Europe will be achieved.
According to the Councillor for Tourism, Palazón Carolina, this will bring more tourists to our beach areas, last year visited us 3,000 and this year, between April and October 2015, we hope to come 7,000 tourists, although they will stay in coastal hotels, excursions were organized to urban areas, including Cartagena.
Although the tourism balance of this year is not yet closed, Palazón claimed that the figures are very positive and exceed those of 2013, although this will not make us lose arms, tourism is a distance race and we must continue working.
