Reading the manifesto to commemorate the Day of Migrants at the gates of the Town Hall of Cartagena has concluded a week of activities dedicated to promoting diversity.
The manifesto has been prepared by the Department of Social Services of the City of Cartagena in coordination with institutions in the field of diversity and related migration.
The act has wanted to make clear the basis of intercultural coexistence, the strong support of the Department of Social Services have been the main points manifested in the celebration of Migrants Day.
Peaceful coexistence and integrity in the social reality of Cartagena is all we seek with this type of activity, expressed Antonio Calderon, Councillor for Social Care.
The main objective is to show the social reality experienced by this group to show how these people have had to integrate into society.
The commemoration of the Day of Migrants in Cartagena has enjoyed holding a Diversity Fair last Sunday, and two round tables that have shown the experiences of immigrants themselves and female diversity through poetry.
At the memorial service was attended by representatives of associations and organizations of Cartagena as Columbares, Murcia Welcomes Alraso Foundation Cepaim, Accem, Rascasa, Caritas, La Botica del Libro, Red Cross Association Malieneses, Association of Paraguayans, Fulbe Association Virgen de Chilla , Tupacjatari and Golden Sister.
