Thursday, December 18, completed the activities that have been held since last Sunday, to commemorate Migrants Day.
It will be done with official ceremony at the gates of the Town Hall, where a manifesto, prepared by the Department of Social Services of the City of Cartagena in coordination with institutions in the field of diversity and related to the phenomenon of migration is read.
The event will be at 11 am and will Councilman, Antonio Calderon, together with representatives of numerous associations working in this area as Columbares Cartagena, Murcia Welcomes, Alraso Foundation Cepaim, Accem, Rascasa, Caritas, La Botica Book, Red Cross Association Malieneses, Paraguayan Association, Association Fulbe, Virgan Chilla, Tupacjatari and Golden Sister.
The commemoration of the Day of Migrants in Cartagena told these days with holding a Diversity Fair last Sunday, and two round tables that have exposed the experiences of immigrants themselves and female diversity through poetry.
The aim was to show the social reality experienced this group, the reasons that led them to leave their places of birth and foster solidarity and closeness for a better living in the host city.
