Further to the actions that are being carried out these days by the Department of Social Services of the City of Cartagena to mark International Migrants Day, the 18th of this month, on Wednesday took place in the auditorium of School of Agronomists a meeting in which there have been a series of readings by women from different countries.
More than a hundred people participated in this activity, called Diverse Women, a meeting through letters.
The mayor of the area, Antonio Calderon has also attended the meeting, where he highlighted the activities that have been taking place these days, as the roundtable on Monday, in which immigrants told their expertise and experiences to reach Cartagena, or Today, with women as protagonists of culture expressed through poetry and literature, a way to reflect the feeling of belonging to the city that hosts them. In addition, the council has taken special mention of the murders in Pakistan, victims of intolerance.
With the celebration of International Migrants Day, collaborate Alraso, Accem, Columbares, Red Cross, Botica del Libro, CEPAIM Welcomes Murcia, Cartagena Coordinating Center Caritas Caritas La Palma, Sena, Rascasa, Akuabba Union Ghanaians, Milienses, Fulbe, Our Lady of Chilla, Tupac Jatari of Spain, Golden Sister and Paraguayans.
