On Tuesday, the mayor of Cartagena, Pilar Barreiro, received at the Palace Hall Amparo Alvarez and Pablo Lorente of the NGO Action Baobab, which gave the mayor a letter of thanks to the people of Cartagena from the mayor of Antananarivo, capital of Madagascar, by economic cooperation in the project of the House of Children.
Action Baobab is an NGO whose mission is to defend the rights and improve the quality of life of children in Madagascar and their families.
The Children's House is a project born in 2010, Antananarivo, in the peripheral and disadvantaged neighborhood Ilanivato, in order to meet basic needs for food, medical attention and access to education for children in that area.
The NGO takes two years, 2013 and 2014, by going to the Call for Award of grants to non-profit institutions, line development cooperation, which grants the Department of Social Services of the City of Cartagena.
