United Left-Greens, adding to the demands of Four Cats Animal Protection Association has asked the City Council to launch an awareness campaign in order that those interested in having a pet choose to adopt one abandoned before buying, order to give a home to thousands of animals who do not and collaborating so that there is less and less cases of abandonment of dogs and cats.
Such campaigns are collected, even in the Regional Law 10/190 on the protection and defense of pets.
And its implementation is not a free request it is shown that one of the main reasons for abandonment of animals is bad practice which is turning into a gift, especially at Christmas time, regardless that contrary to what happens with a teddy must give them some attention.
Therefore these campaigns are necessary, as requested by all associations of animal rights in the country and therefore the United Left-Greens have requested.
Even the success of such a campaign would save the city coffers, as there would be fewer dropouts and less spending at the Center for Care and Treatment of Domestic Animals (CATAD).
This topic on which Councilwoman Maria Rosa Mateo has ironically stating that "we assume that the PP would not like, because it would leave no income to private enterprise on duty who plan to grant the service".
