The European project DELI DIVERSITY IN THE LOCAL ECONOMY AND INTEGRATION is led by the Council of Europe and funded by the European Integration Fund, with the participation of the Migration Policy Group (Migration Policy Group).
This initiative involving nine other European cities: Bucharest (Romania), Getxo (Spain), Dublin (Ireland), Munich (Germany), Lisbon (Portugal), London-Lewisham (UK), Reggio Emilia (Italy) , Rotterdam (Netherlands) and Vienna (Austria).
Among the actions of DELI project is:
Creating a local collaboration platform that promotes dialogue between representative public and private social partners in the fields of business and diversity to value the benefits of diversity.
This platform was established last November 4 with the assistance of all local and regional actors attached to it
Facilitating business advice to entrepreneurs locally, especially the groups with special difficulties in accessing the labor market that contribute to creating jobs and wealth in the local economy, implementing municipal policies that promote integration and hiring companies locally
Develop standards for quality management (QMS) and evaluation tools for local governments to assist them in the design and implementation of economic policies consistent with the principles of equality, integration and diversity management.
Placing value on the Management of Diversity in business as a competitive advantage and profitability for companies also contributing to the integration and generation of local wealth.
With the development of DELI Project Cartagena also part of the Network of Intercultural Cities (the RECI), you will continue the work that the City Council has been doing.
