From 21 to 23 November, the city of Cartagena receive the 8th edition of the International Salsa Congress, called Carthagosalsa.
As explained by its sponsor, Christopher Gomez, this is one of the most important events worldwide when it comes to this type of conference is concerned and encompasses various dance styles such as Salsa, Bachata, Cha Cha Cha and Kizomba, among other.
This edition will feature an artistic campus at the highest level and a few workshops in dance, ranging from a basic level to master classes aimed at teachers and experts.
In his presentation to the media the Councillor for Tourism, Palazón Carolina, stressed its importance and the support of the City of Cartagena initiative that breaks the seasonality of the hotels in this month, which is usually quite low, taking a major break the sector.
According to the organizers the conference will generate a high occupancy of hotels and tourist venues of the city, as about 550 people coming out of Cartagena and the region, in Spain and Europe, have booked their place to participate in workshops and activities of the congress, to be held in the Auditorium and Conference Centres, El Batel.
Attendees are groups of Almeria, Alicante, Madrid, Huelva, Sevilla, Valencia, Barcelona and Vitoria;
and countries such as Italy, Germany and Holland.
These people arrivals join the dance fans flocking a year from Murcia Cieza, Abaran, Molina de Segura and Cartagena, where a large number of fans and students of dance schools.
But in addition to workshops, the conference will feature three nights of dance shows (in the afternoon and evening, with two passes each).
The ticket price is 15 euros and will be open to the general public.

On Saturday 22, the shows of the best companies and national and international artistic couples.
On Sunday 23 schools competing in the afternoon and at night the exclusive premiere production Spain THE PURE.
Regarding training in dance congress will have four rooms where the different levels are distributed from a beginner level to expert level, so that any person, whether amateur or amateur to take part to the event.
Within the different levels of training will be a hall for a MASTER CLASS, where the two most important figures in the salsa;
Fernando Sosa (Uruguay) and Adolfo Indacochea (New York) taught six hours of exclusive classes and intended for experts who want to continue learning in these Afro-Caribbean rhythms.
In addition to the training and dance performances, not least classes, there will be three nights of social dancing, taking place immediately after completion of the dance shows on every night event attendees can enjoy your hobby to dance and music, being able to interact with each other and with the dancers and guest artists.
