Conesa Calderon Street of Sorrows remain closed to traffic one week as a result of the renovation of water infrastructure that are undertaken in the area.
According to informed sources, Office of Traffic of the local police, the cut will occur on Thursday, November 6 in the afternoon, and will affect the stretch between the roundabout and access Dolores Street Tibidabo.
The works consist of the placement of a new collector junction, within the overall performance of Calle Alfonso XIII of Sorrows.
Conesa Calderon Street will be closed to traffic until Wednesday, November 12, to allow the holding of regular Thursday market, which is installed in this section.
As the works to renew water infrastructure at Alfonso XIII of Sorrows recall, began last October 28 and so far have focused on the access roundabout to Los Dolores.
Starting next Wednesday and is expected to focus on Alfonso XIII Street, divided by sections, in three phases.
The first will be from the roundabout to access Dolores until Square Tulip.
The traffic courts in this case affect only the lane down to Cartagena, swerving vehicles alternative routes.
With a budget of 1,474,878 euros remodeling project Calle Alfonso XIII of Sorrows is being executed by the contractor Gonzalez Soto, within six months.
Its aim is twofold: on one hand, r eponer all hydraulic infrastructure, water and sanitation, which are obsolete;
and on the other, to solve the traffic problems generated by parking in a row and left turns on this main street of Cartagena neighborhood.
This action will allow the district to encircle the city, giving an aspect of street strip and greater fluency in traffic, for what has been received feedback from residents and businesses in the area.
