On Wednesday, November 5, diplomas will be issued to participants who have successfully completed the second round of the pilot Youth Guarantee in Cartagena.
The event will take place at 10.00 am in the ceremonial hall of the Town Hall, with the assistance of the council of Employment and Youth, Joaquin Mowing and Ruth Collins, accompanied by the deputy director general of the Autonomous Community Employment, Mary Angeles Rodriguez.
The project developed by the Agency for Local Development and Employment in Cartagena is one of 18 pilot projects chosen by the European Commission to provide practical examples of how to implement the Youth Guarantee with measures such as the coordination of career guidance professionals and work in the municipality, improving individualized and comprehensive care provided to young people by different resources and enhancing collaboration between business and employment services.
Thus, the initiative is being developed in Cartagena proposed, through new methodologies, provide 120 young people access to a good job, continuing education, vocational training or an internship in companies in a maximum period of four months.
This pilot project Youth Guarantee is structured into two phase s: March to June the first, and from July to October 2014 the last, which now culminates in the act of presentation of certificates to participants.
