On Tuesday, November 4, will be the establishment of internal and external project platform Diversity in Local Economy and Integration (DELI) with the participation of heads of departments of various councils of the city of Cartagena with the various public and private bodies: regional administration, employers, trade unions and social organizations.
This platform will feature experts work together with the Council of Europe to design and improve policies that encourage local development, with the focus of diversity as an advantage in the development of the economy.
The establishment of the platform will be held at 9 am in the auditorium of the Faculty of Business (formerly CIM) and give way to a seminar on Diversity in Local Economy and Integration in which participate the Council representative Europe, Gemma Pinyol, who will speak on the economic horizon of European Cities and Social Responsibility.
Gemma is Pinyol Instrategies Project Director and expert in the Council of Europe under the Intercultural Cities project.
She is also coordinator of the Network for Intercultural RECI-Cities and is considered one of the greatest political savvy of EU immigration and integration policies and diversity management.
Pinyol will be received by the Mayor, Pilar Barreiro, at 11.15 pm in the Town Hall, after his speech at the seminar.
Together with the Council of Europe representative also will meet in the CIM Juan Antonio Pedroza Frutos, President of the Spanish Business Confederation of Social Economy (CEPES), who will speak on Cooperatives, Diversity and Local Development.
Then a round table in which the head of the legal services of the City of Cartagena, Francisco Pagan, and Gemma Pinyol exhibited good practices in hiring local companies and providers will develop, Juan Antonio Segura, president of CEPAIM discuss the Socioeconomically City Responsible;
Molina and David Laborda, head of BMN, explain new alternative for access to finance.
The seminar is scheduled to be closed at 12.30 hours by the councilors of Social Services and Employment, and Joaquin Antonio Calderon Segado respectively.
