All Cartagena joins again for a good cause.
The Cartagena for Charity Association, in its eighth year, and with the cooperation of the City, has designed a solidarity calendar for this 2015 portraying these groups.
The funds obtained from the sale of this calendar will go to the Spanish Association Against Cancer, Nursing Home of the Little Sisters of the Poor, the Hope Group, the International Association of Charity St. Vincent de Paul, and Alba Mota, a small 5 year old who was diagnosed an aneurysm in the vein of Galen in the brain.
The price calendar is 5 euros and can be purchased at the offices of these associations and groups and also in some shops Cartagena, explained Matthias Boat Thursday, organizer of the initiative at the launch which was also attended by the Councillor Social Care, Antonio Calderon.
Besides 150 limited edition prints signed by the author of the work will also be distributed.
There have been many groups and individuals in Cartagena and beyond who have wanted to join this initiative benefactors portraying these associations, as Cartagena FC players or Basketball Club Cartagena, the sculptor Juan Jose Quiros, the Association of the Holy Virgin of Beautiful Love, Carthaginians and Romans or the journalist Luis del Olmo.
The cover of this almanac is illustrated by the painter Pedro Diego Pérez Casanova, portraying the Basilica of Charity and the patron saint of Cartagena, which appear in the foreground is a pleasure to be part of this calendar and this initiative of Cartagena for Charity , which plays a great job making possible a more cohesive society.
