The Ministry of Education, Culture and Universities and the Ministry of Economy and Finance, through the Integra Foundation, made available to the company 365 days a year a virtual tour of the Palace of Cartagena de Aguirre, a modernist building from the late nineteenth and early twentieth century houses since 2002 installations Regional Museum of Modern Art (Muram).
The Director General of Cultural Heritage, Maria Comas, introduced this digital content, which will be accessible today on the website Digital Murcia Region yesterday.
"El Palacio de Aguirre is one of the icons of the modernist architecture of the Region of Murcia. Now, this app will allow citizens to literally enter the building through the computer screen and know even the smallest details of this architectural gem of Cartagena, "said Maria Comas.
This virtual tour consists of 16 photographic areas of high resolution linked together so guests can admire the exterior of the building and two floors of the building, and stroll virtually through its main rooms, such as the lobby, the ballroom, the chapel or office.
Many of these areas also have the support of hearing a recording describing details of the space the viewer is watching.
For the development of this virtual tour has been made 12,000 photographs and have generated over 34,000 files.
This project is part of the Region of Murcia Digital website, managed and coordinated by the Integra Foundation and funded by the Ministry of Economy and Finance and European FEDER funds.
The event, held at the Palais de Aguirre, was also attended by Director Muram, Natalia Grau, the project manager of the Integra Foundation, Alfonso Garcia, and a representative of SIP, the company responsible for creating this virtual tour.
