The Teatro Municipal Education Campaign Educateatro returns to the fray, and does so in its fifth edition, which is palpable the significant increase in the number of centers, and therefore students who attend theater sessions this initiative organized by the City of Cartagena, through the Department of Education, and Cajamar.
The first year was this campaign, in the course 2010/2011, the program included 10 works and 22 centers, about 2,900 schools and after five years for this issue to be plotted registered and 17 works have already registered 49 centers, 9,000 students, which demonstrates the good performance of Educateatro, stated the mayor of Education, Joseph Marotta, during the presentation of the event Wednesday, which was accompanied by the Director of Cultural Programs and Social Cajamar, Carmen María Giménez, and director of Zone-Guadalentin Cartagena, Alfonso Fernandez.
The goal is still intact, not only to bring the theater to kids, but also teach values, fostering through the works, friendship, the importance of family, taking care of the environment, etc.
The works scheduled offer a variety of topics aimed at all ages, from kindergarten to high school, and will be represented in two sessions each day, at 10.00 and 12.00 hours in Room B Auditorium El Batel, scenario already chosen last year by its greater capacity.
The ticket price is € 4 per child.
The campaign kicks off on October 28 with the performance of The Emperor's New Clothes, by the company Stardín-Stardán Theatre, and will close on June 2, How to I tell you? Of Onira Theatre Productions and Ribalta .
There will also be space for the celebration of the Week of Children's Theatre and Youth Theatre, plays in English and a surprise wore Carmen María Giménez, April 26 will hold a free session in theater in El Batel, aimed at children in general It is a gift we want to do within the campaign and the details will be revealed later.
