The Barrios-ALDE Program, managed by the Agency of Local Development and Employment, in collaboration with the Department of Education has begun the course with the implementation of the Occupational Maintenance Workshop, where students will practice in schools in neighborhoods Cartagena, specifically you Azorin Marfagones Mills College, Jose Maria Lapuerta in Pearl District, San Fulgencio in Pozo Strait and San Isidoro in El Algar.
Six students over 35 years experience in the construction industry, along with a monitor, participate in the Maintenance Shop Occupational conducting practical training workshop on the premises of schools, which made ​​small masonry repairs, plumbing , electricity, gardening and painting.
The total number of unemployed who chose the workshop was 20.
This training has a budget of 9,000 euros, students receive a scholarship worth 230 euros per month.
As stated by the Councillor for Employment, Joaquín Segado, this program is intended to improve training for the unemployed, providing tools to achieve an improvement and expansion of their skills as to finding a job.
