Fair Resources and Services for the Elderly and Persons with Disabilities (Femadis) opened its doors Friday in its sixth edition. At the opening, attended by surprise and popular English teacher Juan Carrión, who yesterday was appointed Mayor of the Year the Region.
Accompanied by the Mayor, Pilar Barreiro, and Council of Social Care, Antonio Calderon and Trade, Mariano García, this shows the work of these groups was inaugurated.
Organized by the City Council in collaboration with the UPCT, IMAS, social organizations and companies involved in the provision of services, the fair aims to publicize the services and resources available to older and disabled people in the municipality and its families and carers.
Once again, our elders and disabled in this show show their work throughout the year, explained this morning the first mayor, who stood the figure of Carrión being a role model to demonstrate a strong commitment to society and this is reflected, among other things, the assistance provided in the nursing home.

Besides the City, through Informayor and Volunteer Plan in this fair also collaborate UPCT IMAS, social entities as Afibrocar, ONCE, or Astus Sodicar and related companies providing services to the elderly and disabled, as GAES, Eulen or Los Almendros.
The hours of the fair is 10.30 to 14.30 and from 17.00 to 21.00 hours.
