The Governing Council, on a proposal from the Ministry of Health and Social Policy, has given its approval to the hiring of the management of public service for the elderly residence Source Cubas in Cartagena, which made the Instituto Murciano Action Social (IMAS) through a contest.

The proposal provides for management of 120 residential places and 40 places for day center for older people affected or not Alzheimer's and other dementias, for a total de6.466.762 euros.

The initial contract duration lasts from April 1, 2015 to March 31, 2019, but the extension is expected for the same time that the initial contract.

Also awarded the firm produced must acquire the necessary for commissioning furniture.

Opening the Source residence Cartagena de Cubas, owned IMAS, will increase the number of places in the region, in order to meet the growing demand of older dependents.
