The competition team UPCT Solar Team hopes to get a good ranking in the competition IV Solar Race held the next 17, 18 and 19 October in Murcia.
The race this year celebrates its fourth edition with the news that was first held in street circuit.
According to team leader, Professor Antonio Guerrero, "has worked hard in the prototype racing and the team is prepared to do well."
The UPCT Solar Team will face six other teams for the 'Solar Experimental Vehicles', which include the University of Murcia UCAM, the CIPFP Benicarlo (Castellon), IES Baixes costs of Alcoy, IES Mercury Almaden (Ciudad Real) and the IES Politécnico de Cartagena.
The winner will receive a prize of 700 euros;
350 euros, the runner;
and 200 the third.
This is the third time the UPCT Solar Team participates in this competition, garnering a second and a fifth in the editions of 2011 and 2012, respectively.
This year he has added a new telemetry and sensing, optimization of vehicle dynamics integrated wheels for maximum efficiency and strengthening of the electronic part of the prototype.
"We compete at home and we want to give the best of ourselves," said Professor Antonio Guerrero.
The competition takes place on Avenida Miguel Indurain of Murcia city, next to the Palacio de Deportes and Watchtowers Mall.
Free practice will be on Friday from 10:30 hours, while racing will be played on Saturday (morning and afternoon) and Sunday morning.
