Twenty young members of the Youth Guarantee pilot project organized by the Agency of Local Development and Employment (ALDE) Hall, Friday became small professional athletes.

It is more leisure activity that was made in conjunction with the Department of Sports in the ADE (Approach to Sport à ‰ lite).

The Municipal Athletic Track this morning became the scene of Youth Guarantee in which the youngsters practiced throughout all this time some tests like high jump, discus or javelin or relay event.

Students are very motivated in this day and is one more activity that can learn a sport thoroughly and the different modalities, explained this morning Castile and Toni Alfredo Lopez, vice president and Athletics Club El Cano, who helped today the kids in these tests.

Diana Montoya Heredia and Virginia were the instructors of Youth Guarantee also supported these kids in this sport day. The objective is during these months that students learn different areas, such as English, computer, communication and job search, claimed today.

PROJECT

This is a pilot project whose value is to provide practical examples of how to implement the Youth Guarantee measures as strengthening links between business and universities or schools and increase support to youth through the public employment services.

In Cartagena, the initiative aims being developed through new methodologies, provide 120 young people access to a good job, continuing education, apprenticeship training or an internship in a maximum period of four months after being unemployed or finish formal education.

This pilot project in Cartagena Youth Guarantee is structured in two phases: from March to June 2014 and from July to October 2014.

Since July is launched the second call for students currently receiving personalized attention, academically oriented, professional, vocational and occupational training, ending with their education, training or employment in October.
