The Association of Naval Architects and Ocean Spain (NSAIDs) has organized in Cartagena on 8, 9 and 10 October the 53rd Congress of Marine Engineering and Maritime Industry.
The Auditorium and Congress Center El Batel has been the place chosen to host this event due to its excellent location as well as its benefits and facilities.
The conference begins Wednesday with the Opening Ceremony at the CIM Polytechnic University of Cartagena, at 18.30 pm, which will feature Pedro Morenés (Minister of Defence), Pilar Barreiro (Mayor of Cartagena), Jose Antonio Franco ( Rector UPCT), Luis Vilches (President of the NSAID) Ã Mauricio Alvarez (Territorial Dean in Murcia).
Before start of the conference, at 17.30 hours, the mayor will receive the Defence Minister in his office at the Town Hall, which will hold a meeting.
During the day on October 9, the speakers will present their work and receive their awards dinner to be held at the Yacht Club.
On Friday October 10 will be devoted to lectures, master classes and round tables, with the closing ceremony at 14.00 hours.
Among the areas of congressional interest is military shipbuilding, environment, renewable energy, the maritime economy in the Mediterranean or underwater archeology.
