The new network, distinguished as the best project in Brussels Program Web entrepreneurs, help to disseminate the inventions of the Spanish startups across the continent
Cloud Incubator, incubator of technological entrepreneurship at the Polytechnic University of Cartagena, will lead a European platform to promote the development of projects related to the Internet of things and mobile applications.
The new network has been awarded by the European Commission as the best project presented to the annual call ICT-13 from a total of 108 initiatives.
The EU will fund two million project that has as main objective to put Europe at the same level as their competitors in technological entrepreneurship.
To develop the platform, Cloud Incubator has four other partners in Europe.
F6S, most European entrepreneurial social network with over 400,000 investors and entrepreneurs;
The Ryan Academy, an incubator based in Ireland and is promoted by Ryan (Ryanair) family;
Crosspring Lab, which is headquartered in the Netherlands and Open Coffee Club, a network of incubators based in Lithuania.
The platform, to be called Startup scaleup will offer entrepreneurs business acceleration programs based on new technologies and which can be accessed online so.
The entire network will be interconnected and each partner will have to develop a strategy specific venture with the aim of providing a comprehensive and reliable new companies involved in the project and allow international promotion development.
This platform aims to accelerate Cloud Incubator 400 European startups over the next two years.
Cloud Incubator director and coordinator of the European project Startup scaleup, Andrés Iborra, stressed the importance of the support of the European Commission: "The fact that we have been selected as the first project of a total of 108 is an indication of the importance attached by the EU to the project.
Performances like that will develop are fundamental to reorient economic activity in Spain towards high tech sectors and future development as the Internet of Things. "
Cloud Incubator is the only technology incubator that links entrepreneurship with the Internet of Things.
Since its inception in 2011 has enabled the implementation of more than forty-related applications for smartphones and Internet of Things projects.
Companies like Buy Activa, Mileyenda, Geocom, Widhoc, People Art Factory, Pixel Penguins, Xana Software, Appduino, 3D Solid Ink, and LockUp Vegaffinity have come from this factory technology companies.
At present it is in the selection phase of the entrepreneurs who will form part of its fourth edition.
The incubator is based in the Centre for Development and Technological Innovation at the Polytechnic University of Cartagena has in the Technological Park of Fuente Alamo and has the support of two groups of investors 2 Up and Startup Seed Capital Factory.
