The IMPLICA2 program (Young People engaged in Cartagena) of the Youth Council, organized by the Centre Diving Divers Evolution Red Cross Environment, Spain International Coastal Cleanup, Ocean Conservancy and Tadpoles Association, the activity DEPTH LOOK + a shoreline cleanup campaign and seabed to be performed on Saturday 11th October at Cala Cortina, Lighthouse Christmas and tailings.
The objective of this activity is the collection of garbage from the bottom of the sea, through a group of professional divers, d rom the coast with volunteers, in order to make a clean Cartagena Bay, promoting also the good environmental practices and care of our heritage and natural environment.
Once classified garbage collection, a report with the data obtained will be conducted and this waste will be managed.
It is intended that this is the first initiative to be held next in other areas.
The event will start at 9.30 am from the Youth Resource Centre, where a bus will transfer participants to Cala Cortina.
Once there, various groups will be responsible to collect, sort, weigh, measure and deposit their waste containers until 13.30 am in the completion of the activity is planned and participants will return, will be organized also in bus, until the starting point.
The organization distributed to all volunteers the necessary equipment (gloves, garbage bags, t-shirts, drink, supplies, etc.).
