The Ceremonial Hall of the Town Hall welcomed the delivery of the event meant for students in grades 5 and 6 of primary 12 centers.
The aim is to educate young on the importance of accident prevention
The winners of the school competition drawing Security Grows received on Thursday, the 25th, the prizes ceremony being held at the Ceremonial Hall of the Town Hall.
The competition, which aims to promote, among students in grades 5 and 6 of primary education, habits of job responsibility, as future workers and employers, is organized by the Regional Government, through the Ministries of Employment and the Presidency of Education, in collaboration with the municipalities.
In this edition of the competition involved 12 centers, with a total of 305 drawings, among which 15 were awarded prizes: Four first prizes, each get a digital camera;
awards five seconds, earning a MP4;
and six third prizes, get a sports equipment each.
The purpose of this event is that from small to understand the importance of safety in the classroom and at home, explained this morning Youth Councillor, Ruth Collins, who attended the delivery.
In addition to the basics of safety at work, l will also teach participants postural control risks, a topic that draws more attention to these kids, added the CEO job, Fernando Vélez, accompanied by Maria Angeles and César López Villanueva, director and section chief respectively of the Institute of Occupational Safety and Health of the Region of Murcia, an agency of the Ministry of Presidency and Employment.
In Murcia the accident rate is at the national average, 28 accidents per thousand workers.
These figures have fallen over the last 15 years, but more work is on the same line to reduce it to the fullest, today explained Velez.
