The mayor of Cartagena, Pilar Barreiro, announced this afternoon in an interview on Onda Cero Cartagena, this year the City will have public job, with the announcement of four new seats attached to the departments of Planning and Infrastructure.
This is the proposal that the Councillor for Finance and Personnel, will soon to the negotiating table where unions are sitting.
Barreiro explained that the economic situation forced the council to suspend the public job in 2008. After six years without being able to open new hiring, the recovery of the economy and improvement of the municipal treasury, now allow the Hall recruit again.
According to the mayor, thus it will gain in effectiveness and administrative efficiency, working with greater agility and improving service to citizens.
Also the City regain its role as employer.
The administration also has capacity to create jobs directly and with this decision we recover the role that the crisis forced paralyze the Barreiro added.
The recovery of the municipal staff to raise the Municipal Government in the negotiation table will be in two ways:
On the one hand using 10% of the seats vacated during 2014, as permitted by the National Government.
This route will be convened by public offering of employment, four newly created positions that will be attached to the departments of Planning and Infrastructure.
On the other hand, the vacancies along these years, occupied by temporary or contract employees will be covered.
A total of 93 seats will come out allowing give job security to many citizens of provisional or interim basis now occupy a job at City Hall.
For this, a bureaucratization process opens.
This process will affect 63 employees of the City; 6 of the Agency of Local Development and Employment and 24 of the Municipal Institute of Coastal Services.
