Thirty international students have come to Cartagena.
Young enjoyed an informal welcome organized by the International Student Association of Cartagena (ISAC), which featured a short introduction in the city.
They are the first of the 118 Erasmus is expected to arrive at the Polytechnic University of Cartagena (UPCT) in the first quarter of this year.
The number of Erasmus who come to study in Cartagena this year has increased by 42% over the previous year.
"It's the largest number of Erasmus we've ever had.
Part of this success is due to the promotion is being done at the University abroad and the introduction of exchange programs that allow students to be up to 12 months with us, "says Beatriz Marín, head of International Relations UPCT.
The most represented country is Italy, this course has sent 28 students to Cartagena, followed by Poland with 24 students.
The French are the third largest group in the classroom UPCT with 19 students.
Most of them come to take courses and final projects, but there are young people who have come from countries such as Mexico or Morocco to UPCT practices through various partnerships between universities.
University services available
The International Relations held an official presentation of the course on 23 September to welcome international students, which also explained the young all services offered by the university to provechar the most of your time in Spain, as is the Language Service.
The Erasmus can sign Spanish courses in addition to also participate in activities with students UPCT where they can improve their communication skills in English.
In addition to Spanish, UPCT also offers the opportunity to learn other languages, not only to foreign students, but also the locals.
English, German, French, Italian, Chinese and Portuguese are the languages ​​that can be learned over a semester.
