Eight innovative projects fellows Telefónica Chair-UPCT were presented today at the Polytechnic University of Cartagena to fight for the final two places for the scholarship program Talentum Startups Telefonica.
The two selected initiatives compete for the title of best national startup projects from all autonomous on 25 November in Madrid.
To do this, each of the fellows has had two minutes in which you will have to convince the jury of the quality and viability of your project.
Home automation, social networking environment, health, tourism, and geolocation are the areas that have developed initiatives.
The jury was formed by Juan Luis Pedroza, Vice Chancellor for Information Technology and Communications, Angel Lloret, director of Telefonica in Murcia;
Jaime Angulo, Project Assistant Talentum Startups;
Rafael Toledo, director of Telefónica-UPCT Chair and Juan Carlos Romero, Head of Engineering telco customers.
Eight students UPCT have enjoyed six months of scholarship Taletum Startups Telefonica, for which they received 500 euros a month to "develop our own technology ideas and are the seeds of future endeavors," explains one of the fellows, Borja Martínez , which has developed a smartphone controlled for streaming and photographs of major events zeppelin.
The rest of the ideas presented are a mobile application that manages the treatment, diagnosis, medical history and drug user;
an automated camera technique 'time lapse';
a browser to optimize road transports;
an "app" for various applications to control computer remotely and centrally;
A guide to environmentally sustainable leisure facilities;
a device that centralized control of home electronics;
or a program for smartphone that warns of supply of services as geolocation and user interests.
The Cartagena is the only Spanish university, with the Polytechnic of Madrid, in which Talentum scholars have conducted their practices in the institution, with the addition of Telefónica Chairs Network UPCT.
