The mayor, Pilar Barreiro, considered a very good news for Cartagena lifting the 20 percent limit imposed by the European Union civilian jobs in the factories of Navantia.
Disposal of this veto, which comes into force in January 2015, will be a great opportunity for the factory of Cartagena and that will benefit.
Barreiro has highlighted the high qualification of workers and competitiveness of Cartagenera factory engine with a high degree of technological development, which from now on will be offered and applied to civilian vessels, in addition to the military.
The mayor also pointed out that from now on the sales team can plan to intensify contacts and offering jobs in international fairs, complementary to those developed for navies.
Another important aspect of this liberalization measure will be to Barreiro, maintenance and repair of large yachts, where Cartagena has already carved out an international reputation, and now without the limit of 20 percent may develop without hindrance.
