The National Police arrested last August 26 an individual of Moroccan nationality, allegedly a member of an organized group dedicated to the removal of solar panels and their subsequent transfer and sale illegal in Morocco.

The investigations began to be aware, the National Police, a hidden place, located in a rural area near Aparecida (Cartagena), where a group of people of Moroccan nationality, may be hiding lots of solar panels, from theft.

Indeed, the researchers were able to see that in that place were deposited and well hidden, some 70 solar panels, almost new, and the wires cut, presumably recently stolen from a company in the region.

Therefore, a surveillance was established in the area, to try to stop members of the criminal group, when a person of Moroccan nationality, was aware of the police presence, initiating rapid flight through the countryside, pursued by agents .

On several occasions the persecution stopped his career to turn against police officers and arremeterles with a knife he was carrying, still when trying to jump a fence about three feet high, when the rush to the ground is reduced by the agents, but not before exert great violence towards them.

Once arrested, officials appeared with him in police custody, where he was charged with assault on a law enforcement officer.

For now, researchers are practicing the necessary steps for the investigation of the origin of the plates recovered.

The arrest was carried out by officers of the Local Public Safety Brigade, continuing the research staff of the Local Judicial Police Commissariat of National Police of Cartagena.
