Cartagena Port of Cultures offers a tour throughout the summer, with a series of activities and guided tours, which intertwines the life and career of the Roman emperor and his relationship with Carthago Nova.
Carthago Nova, was a reflection of the imperial power of Rome.
This power was embodied in a prestigious architecture reflected in the Theatre, Temple and Forum.
To learn, enjoy and participate in the figure of this great man of history, have created special routes, dramatized, and games day and night views.
Guided Walking. Proxy Divinity of Augustus.
The route begins with a visit to the Theatre Museum, where Augusto reflected the imperial power of Rome, with an ornamental program in Carrara marble, which reproduce the models developed in the official architecture of Rome.
It will reach the neighborhood of Roman Forum, where you can discover the splendor of the Baths and lavish banquets, ending the visit in Augusteum, the priestly office of augustales.
A temple to worship the emperor, made in exquisite marble quarried from around the Mediterranean.
This route started from the Theatre Museum, and Tuesday August 2 and September 9 at 11: 30h.
Tuesday August 19 this route also be explained with guide in English, with the intent to give out to all those who want to get closer to the life of Augustus, revealing aspects of personal and family life, his political work, and his view of Rome and its empire.
Dramatized daytime route. Augusto's Journey to Carthago Nova.
Augusto explained, first hand, as he turned a brick into a city of marble, building the Grand Theatre, the Baths, the Forum and open the doors of the temple for religious ceremonies where sacrifices to be made his own cult.
We explain the splendor of an era, and make us partakers of his culture and society.
This route starts at the Teatro Romano, l os Friday August, 5 and Sept. 12 at 12: 00h.
Night theatrical tour. Aulaeum down the Teló n, is a theatrical tour night in the Theatre Museum, where we accompanied the great Roman architect Vitruvius.
Visitors will have the opportunity to understand were like theaters of ancient Rome.
The only date available in August for this activity will be on Saturday 30 at 21: 00h
Interactive Game. Discover the footsteps of Augustus.
A fun game, through mobile, adventure, mystery, wit and action, where the emperor himself directs you 2000 years later for you to discover his legacy and most importantly, you will not know which character are you to the end.
This game can be performed Tuesday through Sunday, visiting the Theatre Museum, the District Forum and Augusteum.
