The local governing board will address this Thursday, August 14th at the regular meeting to be held from 11.00 am at the Palace Hall, the participation of the City of Cartagena in the European Project Life Tetraclinis Europe, for the conservation of cypress forests typical of this area (Tetraclinis Articulata).
The project, promoted by the Directorate General Environment of the Autonomous Community, also involved various local groups in nature conservation.
Through this European project, with a budget of 1,544,000 euros, actions designed to protect and preserve the cypress Cartagena, whose only representation in Europe is the Region of Murcia, specifically in the Sierra Minera Cartagena-La contemplated Union.
The EU finances about 70 percent of the project and the execution time terminated in July 2018.
