Councilman Social Services of the City of Cartagena, Antonio Calderon was asked to perform last night, the cry with which gave start the festivities of Alum.

Using emotive words, Calderón reviewed the history and tradition of this town Cartagena, before some 400 residents who attended the kick-off of expected celebrations.

Antonio Calderon, who also cut the ribbon to inaugurate the festival on the church square, along with the president of the Festival Committee, Susana Callejas, was accompanied by Council of Decentralization, Nicholas Ángel Bernal and District Mary José Roca, and the president of the neighborhood, Francisco Hernández.
