A total of 11 people in the municipality of Cartagena at risk of social exclusion have received training from the Association "Project Abraham 'on New Technologies and Social Networks.
This training initiative has concluded today at a ceremony in which participants received a diploma after the training process.
The Director General of Pensions, Assessment and Inclusion Programs Murciano Institute of Social Action (IMAS), Miguel Angel Miralles, participated, along with Councilman Social Care Cartagena, Antonio Calderon and members of 'Project Abraham' delivery of diplomas.
The course, developed in collaboration with the city, has helped to bring new technologies to the participants favoring the organization and management of information management, the basic use of word processing tools and Web 2.0 tools and enable their initiation into the main use social networks in Spain.
Miralles appreciated the work done by this organization, welcomed the cooperation of the Consistory of Cartagena and congratulated the participants for the interest and motivation that encourages them to continue learning despite "difficult situation" going through some of them.
Know and function in Internet and social networks, as the CEO stated, "it is essential to be informed, to find deals that allow access to the labor market and to concur in such selection processes."
This formative action adds to many other social interventions carried out by the Association "Project Abraham" in different municipalities of the Community since 1998, in which its statutes and the board approved.
The CEO concluded that "it is necessary to invest in establishing and promoting joint initiatives with Third Sector organizations to help boost socio-occupational and occupational programs which will combat social exclusion and poverty in the region."
