Both institutions have signed an agreement Thursday that emphasizes counseling and guidance to university students through the Youth Space and credit recognition for participating in activities organized by the Language Exchange Association and Isac
The councilor for Youth, Joaquín Segado, and the Vice Chancellor for Student and University Extension UPCT, Francisco Martinez, Thursday signed an effort aimed at the integral formation of the young college students partnership and cultural activities of common interest, agreement, as pointed Segado arise out of a common work between University City and coming from afar, 1999, and has been embodied in successive agreements until the present.
In signing the agreement has been present also the mayor of Youth, Ruth Collins, who noted that the goal is to update our protocols and add new proposals, such as the collaboration with the Youth Space for advice and guidance for young graduates in anything that promotes their personal, social and professional development, establishing joint programs of action on issues of concern to these young people.
Thus, this service will address the Youth Council students UPCT regarding job search and preparation of Curriculum Vitae, job boards, professional practices, non-formal education, languages, through Language Exchange, participation in the European Erasmus, volunteer program, finding accommodation, information on legal and regulatory aspects, social care or personal nature;
and advice on health and gender issues.
As regards business practices, Francisco Martinez pointed out that the idea is that the City develop a relationship with positions that could occupy students UPCT so that these young people throughout the year and by titration , can occupy.
Another purpose of this agreement is the recognition of college credit to students who participate in language and cultural activities organized by the university association Isac, recently formed to promote the relationship between university and Erasmus who come to our city, and Language Exchange City.
With this initiative, the recognition of a number of credits equal to the estimated number of hours that are held in various activities is requested.
Among them, include language exchange gatherings, film in original version, culinary workshops, guided visits to sites of Cartagena excursions or cultural visits Region.
