NGO involved the local police in Cartagena and Primary Care Center - San Diego Caritas sign a joint cooperation agreement against social exclusion, especially in the children's side, protecting children from disadvantaged families members, especially children and homeless families desectructuradas.
Both institutions remain main objective is to improve the quality of life of these children, working with them, driving the necessary social changes and to promote the improvement of the means available to the Primary Care Centre - Caritas San Diego.
For this and through this agreement, the two institutions have initiated two aid schemes:
The first is from the beginning involved in one campaign Urgent Help Collecting Food and to provide basic services to children asinten the Parish Caritas chair in order to ensure basic meals (breakfast, lunch food, snack and dinner).
The urgency of aid lies in the lack of donations to the school in summer.
The local police and their families through collection points located at the Security Park Districts and offices, have made a first delivery of 900 pounds of food (among which are: milk, sugar, cocoa, cookies, pasta, legumes, canned fish, etc ...), continuing the campaign to be able to cover the needs of all summer.
A second plan is to approximate the police figure of these children;
police volunteers participate in activities in the Caritas Centre such as police Lectures on conflict resolution and crisis vial and civic education, and collaboration in maintenance activities of the center itself.
The agreement was ratified by Joaquin Ferrando, pastor of the Church of San Diego (Cartagena) and Mario Macián, President of the NGO Police ImPLicados2E
Besides the lines of this agreement, the basis for the creation and development of awareness-raising and citizenship education in the struggle for social integration and guarantee of rights, preventing social exclusion frameworks.
