Summer courses at the Polytechnic University of Cartagena (UPCT) host in the second week of training programs in 2014 edition introduction to diving and maritime navigation, as well as a workshop to discover the professional careers of students.
A total of 60 young people involved in these three courses.
The course 'Discovering my professional calling' done all this week at the Student House and aims to increase the confidence of youth or enhance your emotional intelligence and self-control through relaxation techniques, meditation, creative visualization , dance group dynamics and harmonization.
The diving course, taught by the Dive Center divers from the Navy (CBA), training for diving up to 30 meters deep and be validated with a sports degree two stars of the Spanish Federation of Underwater Activities.
To participate, students must demonstrate their ability to withstand 3.7 atmospheres (27 meters) in pressure chamber breathing air and perform a minute of apnea, 12 meter dive, swim 100 meters in any style and dive up to four meters deep.
The navigation course, another delivered in partnership with the Ministry of Defence, enables participants to learn the theoretical and practical aspects of navigation to skipper boats.
Summer courses UPCT last week began forming in Mazarrón safety coordinators nautical events.
During this July are scheduled courses on fracking, the coastal landscape, the energy rating of buildings, renewable energy, microrobotics, PLCs, neuroscience, the dual-use technologies, military culture and aeronautics, viticulture, ethnographic navigation, teamwork, industrial engineering, civil engineering, water infrastructure, career opportunities, equal relationships, including the classical heritage, architecture and museums and the Sea Lyrics.
Registration for some courses, such as those taught in September on U.S. hegemony, geo-mining heritage, digital home and urban horticulture, is open.
