Incoming and outgoing Directors of the General Air Academy in San Javier, have met with the mayor, and another one for leave to appear at a meeting which has been made of the first class of students in the new model of military training , who will graduate next year
The address of the General Air Academy in San Javier (AGA) change of command, hence the new colonel director, Juan Pablo Sanchez, along with the outgoing Colonel Emilio Juan Gracia, visited Friday the mayor of Cartagena, Pilar Barreiro, the first to appear and the second to leave.
As regards goals and objectives of the new director, Grace stated that it is too early to speak, but the fact is that I know the Academy, I have been here as a teacher, I think the work of my predecessor has been very good, I will in that line, and the challenge I have is to graduate itself marked the end of next year the first class of students just 5 and leave the Academy after implantation of the new model of military education adapted to the Bologna Process, as well as continuing good relationship with Murcia and Cartagena as the field to date.
For his part, the outgoing director Colonel Juan Emilio Gracia, is shown satisfied two years has been in charge of the Academy and proud of his successor in office, a military prepared and linked to this land, which is the best choice you could make.
As for how they have affected the cuts to AGA, Grace claimed that when launched the Budgetary Stability Law, coinciding with my arrival in command, Chief of Air Staff said three things you would not have cuts: foreign operations, control operations permanenentes surveillance and rescue services, and training of students, which would shield, in short, the cuts have affected the Academy as infrastructure but not the training.
Currently, the General Air Academy in San Javier has about 360 students in five courses.
