Coinciding with the end of the academic year, twenty students of Vocational Training (VET) conclude their practices this month at the Polytechnic University of Cartagena, which have gained work experience in such diverse areas as computer science, telecommunications, application development web, administrative management, documentation, communication, environmental health and natural and scenic resources.
Students half dozen schools providing FP-El Bohio, the San Juan Bosco, Charles III, the Torre-Pacheco and the Hesperides have done 400 hours of curriculum practices tutored by university staff in the Unit of Student in Computer services, Information, Communication and the Technology Support Research at the Experimental Station Agroalimentaria Thomas Ferro and various departments and schools.
Before the end of their practices, the Rector of the UPCT gathered all the students together coordinators facility practices and Vice Chancellor for Students Francisco Martinez, to exchange views on a training program that this year has managed to double the number of VET students who have been trained at the Polytechnic.
"For UPCT experience is very positive.
All students have done a great paper with a great performance and rapid adaptation which shows the high quality of the training they provide their centers, "said the rector.
Who also highlighted the potential to expand the number of places for next year and generate concrete benefits of training projects for VET placements.
Carlos Abrisqueta coordinator in El Bohio, appreciated the work of the Vice President for Student in streamlining and mentoring practices.
José Antonio García, professor of Hesperides, happily was "amazed that Middle Grade students to participate in university projects."
Automatic Correction Exam
Among the projects that have been undertaken VET students in the highlights website UPCT Engineering Campus created by Rubén Navarro Caravaca and Carmelo, the course of creating 3D video games prepared by Javier Ramirez and the automatic correction system tests developed by David Plazas, all students of Carlos III.
"It was my first experience in college and I liked it.
Now I wont study Teleco "says Sleeps.
"In UPCT great atmosphere there," adds Amparo Torres, who completed an internship administrative assistant.
