The Governing Council has agreed to appoint Antonio Recio Sevilla president of the Port Authority of Cartagena, replacing Adrian Angel Viudes, the regional government who appreciates his work as head of one of the most prestigious public institutions in the Region Murcia.
The new head of the Port Authority of Cartagena, who was born in Madrid in 1964, is an engineer of roads, canals and ports from the Polytechnic University of Madrid, in the Water and Power specialty.
He was Minister of Public Works and Planning from June 2011 until last April, and was previously dean of the College of Civil Engineering, Channels and Ports in the Region of Murcia.
He has been a professor at the Polytechnic University of Cartagena, and has developed his professional career in various companies in the construction sector.
