For the third consecutive year, the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sports (MECD) and Universia recognized teaching innovation of the Polytechnic University of Cartagena in the awards for the top notes posted on the Internet.
The subject Physics II, taught by professors José Abad López, and José Manuel Caravaca Garratón Damien Galindo Catala has been a finalist in the category of Open Course Ware (OCW).
The open content that these teachers have hung represent "logistical support for the students", explains José Damián Catala.
Consist of virtual labs, outreach programs, notes and videos of lectures and problem solving for students to find answers to "questions that arise are facing exams," said José Abad, and to serve them support during the experimental practices in the teaching laboratory of the Department of Applied Physics.
In the same category, structured teaching content subjects, teachers UPCT Julián Conesa and Cavas Francisco, Department of Graphic Expression Industrial School, last year won the first prize for virtual notes on Industrial Design.
Also in 2013 he was awarded a second prize to professor Juan Medina Politécnica de Cartagena for its massive open online course (MOOC, for its acronym in English) Basic Mathematics for access to scientific and technical careers.
And last year, the teachers and Juan Francisco Javier Pérez García Bermejo obtained runners-up for content repositories for the subjects of Water Supply and General Chemistry.
