Students of the Integrated Vocational Training Centre of Cartagena Carlos III, Javier Ramírez Pons and Manuel Luis Reyes Cividades have been declared winners of the VII Olympiad informatics region in which more than a hundred students enrolled in cycles VET training Family & Telecomm.
The Director General of Vocational Training, Joaquin Buendia, the Councillor for Education of the City of Cartagena, Joseph Marotta, and the Vice Chancellor for Student and University Extension, University of Cartagena, Francisco Martinez, they handed over the awards of this activity that seeks foster teamwork and students in middle and upper echelons of Informatics and Communications, implemented by the Ministry of Education, Culture and Universities in the region.
Students participating in the VII Olympiad conducted tests on operational and hardware, databases, networks and systems free software, demonstrated the knowledge acquired during their training and received honorable mention in each category.
In the case of Free Software, the winners were students Marín José Manuel García, Víctor Robles Sánchez and Ángel Sánchez Santillana IES San Juan de la Cruz.
In networks, were made with the second prize students PFIC Calos Francisco Javier Ferrero Muñoz III, Daniel Bautista Lopez and Carlos López Miigica.
Winners Test Systems and Hardware Garro were Angel Martinez and Clara García García, both students IES Engineer Miguel de la Cierva.
The last test on Databases, the second prize went to Alejandro González Moral, Pedro Linares and José Antonio Jiménez Molina Asleep Carlos III of PFIC.
This Integrated Centre has also organized the IX Modding Contest, in which eight teams of students presented computers with aesthetic and performance modifications.
The winner of this contest was the team PFIC Carlos III, and second and third place were two groups of IES Gines Perez Chirinos.
