Jonathan Narbaiza Veloz, sophomore Engineering of Mineral Resources and Energy, won the bronze medal in the category of less than 63 kilos in the Championship of Spain University Taekwondo, held this month at the High Performance Center of Los narejos thus continuing the successes that every year gets UPCT in this sport.
Narbaiza is scholarship as an elite athlete and live in the Center for High Performance Narejos, which takes place on a daily double training session.
Last year was unable to compete in the championship due to injury, but this time nothing prevented him get a medal.
And, if all goes as planned, hopes to repeat next year.
The UPCT has achieved medals in this tournament since sends competitors.
In total, since 2009, the Polytechnic University of Cartagena has won five golds, four silvers and three bronzes, plus the title of the gold medal in 2012 London Olympics obtained by Joel Gonzalez, student UPCT.
