The Polytechnic University of Cartagena (UPCT) and the Regional Assembly in Cartagena Red Cross have signed a partnership agreement that will allow students UPCT participate in volunteer programs of humanitarian institution, and intern in centers the Regional Assembly.
Thus, in addition to the Technical Plan for Local Activities Red Cross is carrying out various public bodies for collaboration in their social and humanitarian programs.
The agreement signed by the rector UPCT Jose Antonio Franco, and the president of the Regional Assembly in Cartagena Red Cross, Gabriel Ruiz, reflected the interest of both the joint execution of projects and cooperation in the development of outreach and social awareness.
Thus, in addition to conducting future training around social, health and institutional aspects, this agreement UPCT students will have the opportunity to participate in the volunteer program of Red Cross and internships centers in its Regional Assembly in Cartagena, for which ECTS provides recognition or free credits.
In this sense, the UPCT and Cartagena Red Cross will launch a Monitoring Committee consisting of two members from both institutions.
The aim is to combine efforts in social support and help of the citizens of the District of Cartagena.
