The first year students of Social Education degree from the University of Murcia have visited the building of La Milagrosa, where the facilities of the Department of Social Services of the City of Cartagena, the Academic UPCT lie.
The visit is referred to in the schedule of regular classes in this college degree and aims to raise awareness directly some of the historic buildings that had to do with social education and the protective action of children throughout the Ages XVIII and XIX.
The Department of Social Services of the City of Cartagena collaborates in this activity provide technical support by a Social Educator, who has acted as a guide on the tour of parts of the building La Milagrosa.
Also, have been given a short talk on the various socio stages that have been children who were admitted to the House of Mercy in the late twentieth and early twenty-first century.
The students, who are a total of 50, have been accompanied by Pedro Luis Moreno, professor of social pedagogy.
Antonio Mula, Social Services Coordinator, wanted to share a few moments with them, greeted them on behalf of the City of Cartagena and thanked them for their visit.
