The hiking program Fridays of March, included in the program for seniors organized by the Department of Social Services, brought 35 majors last Friday to explore the Route 55, in the Strait of San Ginés, to where they came in automotive Bastarreche from the plaza.
Once transferred, began their route, with a distance of 10 km, turning to Monte San Ginés, formerly called Monte Miral, which has an altitude of 229 meters.
Later he descended the north face up to the Monastery of San Ginés de la Jara.
During this first part of the tour had the assistance of a member of the Association of Friends of the Monastery of San Ginés and hermitages of Mount Miral, which explained in detail all the peculiarities of the environment.
Then the group took towards the Rambla del Llano, crossing it to its mouth on the Mar Menor.
The final leg took them to the beach of Los Nietos, where again took the auto moved back to Cartagena.
