Councillor for Education, Joseph Marotta, today received Tuesday in the Reception Room of the Town Hall, about thirty teachers from different schools across Europe, meeting that has been done within the Comenius project Healthy life in a Europe Healthy (Healthy Living Healthy in Europe).
Maroto has emphasized the role of the council in this type of exchange, which is to receive them, offer our support and show them all that you can see in our city.
Teachers from France, Poland, Italy and Bulgaria Cartagena visit these days to put together the work done throughout the year and the conclusions that have been reached, being, in this case, the CEIP José María Lapuerta the coordinating center Project.
One of the teachers of this school, Antolina Asensio, stated the main objective of this project is to emphasize the importance of health in all aspects, encouraging both teachers and students by developing activities in schools. Carry a balanced diet and sports are some of the points addressed in this Comenius.
The project has a duration of 2 years (2012-2014), and during this time have strengthened the ties between the participating European countries, encouraging cooperation, coexistence and sharing of experiences and methodologies to achieve a common objective: students develop healthy habits and value their importance.
