The UCAM, with the cooperation of the City, has organized the University Championships in Spain in both modes, which means appointment thousand top-level athletes from 60 universities will be given

Sport is again featured during this weekend in the city, with the conclusion, on 9 and 10 May, the University Championships in Spain Athletics and Table Tennis, organized by the San Antonio Catholic University in collaboration the Department of Sports City of Cartagena and the Sports Council.

Monday's presentation of this great event, which will bring a total of 500 athletes from 60 universities, has been made ​​by the Councillor for Sports, Diego Ortega and responsible sports UCAM Paul Rosillo, who has cited some of the athletes front row nationwide who will participate in the championship of Cartagena, as Borja Vivas, Diego Ruiz, Mercedes Chilla or Raquel Gonzalez.

For the mayor of Sports, once again organizing large sporting events such as these two national championships, attract visitors to the city, with the consequent positive impact on the economy of the municipality.

Of the eighteen University Championships held in Spain, half organizes the UCAM, the modalities of Swimming, Volleyball, Badminton, Volleyball, Karate and Taekwondo, and Athletics and Table Tennis now held in Cartagena, at the Municipal Athletic Track and City Table Tennis Pavilion, the special relationship with the Catholic University of the port city, where he is president Jose Luis Mendoza, which will soon open a new campus in Los Dolores.

Championships in Athletics and Table Tennis have the cooperation of the Department of Physical Activity and Sport in the Region of Murcia, the Athletics Federation of State, the UCAM Athletics Club Cartagena, UCAM Table Tennis Club and College Graduates in Physical Education and CAFD Region of Murcia.

Accreditations for both competitions will be given on Thursday, May 8 from 16.00 to 20.00 hours on the Centro Cultural Luzzy Ramón Alonso.

From 9.30 to 13.00 hours.
